There is this concept where produce from nearby areas are brought for sale direct to the population in towns.This systen existed before the supermarket.There are lower rates and bargaininng is allowed.In many stalls ready made food is available.What is the down side is the total aroma that hits your senses.Sometimes we feel we are in a less advanced country.There can be some form of domination though.
