Event Brief	:	Bamboo carving, an ancient art form in China, takes advantage of the natural shape of the material and employs a variety of carving techniques like low relief, high relief, openwork carving, carving in the round and liuqing low relief. This new stamp issue in the “Hong Kong Museums Collection” series presents  six pieces of bamboo carving from the Hong Kong Museum of Art. They are fine examples of the bamboo carvers’ exquisite artisanship.
